KNOWING STARS

I wish I could name more of these stars.
I know the big dipper,
but I wish I could say
"Oh, there's Pleiades,
and Andromeda"
For to know the name 
is the beginning of understanding;
and to understand
is to conquer.
But it is not for the conquering
that I name,
but to know.
To know its essence.
So that by knowing,
I may become more one with.
And perhaps by knowing the world around me,
I may better know myself.
